At the 2003 rodeo, somebody took a controversial photograph and published it. As a result, the rodeo organizers banned cameras at the 2004 rodeo. "Security" people at the gates were strictly enforcing this irrational rule, turning away anybody carrying a camera. While I was able to obtain a press pass to shoot the rodeo, I consider this policy to be absurd. Shame on the rodeo organizers for not only overreacting but also treating the symptom instead of the underlying problem.
